Storage Fusion Named as Finalist in Prestigious UK IT Industry Awards by British Computer Society and Computing Magazine
SRA (Storage Resource Analysis) service recognised for innovation as a candidate for IT Infrastructure Product of the Year
London, UK – 22nd October 2009 – Storage Fusion, a leader in storage analytic services, today announced that its SRA (Storage Resource Analysis) service has been selected as a finalist for the IT Infrastructure Product of the Year category in the UK IT Industry Awards organised by the British Computer Society (BCS) & UK magazine Computing. Combining the BCS IT Industry Awards and the Computing Awards for Excellence, this annual event recognises innovation and excellence in the computer technology industry and is acknowledged for its rigorous and unbiased assessment process. Being named as a finalist for the IT Infrastructure Product of the Year represents another major milestone for the SaaS (Software as a Service) technology developed by Storage Fusion, a service which is changing the way data centres assess and manage their storage estates.
SRA delivers very rapid ROI by providing detailed analytic reports that help CIOs and IT directors maximise the use of storage resources, reduce CAPEX and OPEX, calculate power consumption and enable long term resource planning. Offered as a monthly service, SRA is built on a unique non-intrusive SaaS architecture that does not demand the installation of software, saving customers thousands of pounds and weeks of effort when compared to traditional on-premise proprietary software or expensive consulting services.
The judging panel of the UK IT Industry Awards, which includes representatives from The Brunel Business School, BT Operate, Edinburgh University, the Office of Government Commerce and PwC, undertook a very thorough evaluation and interview process that assessed technology innovation, user benefit, and the financial credibility of each entry. As a finalist, Storage Fusion will attend the award ceremony in London on 12th November where the winners will be announced.
"The Awards are a showcase for the very best in the UK IT industry and those who have been announced as finalists can be very proud of their outstanding achievement,” explained Robin Booth, Publishing Director of Computing UK. “The next stage of judging is going to be very difficult. The variety of entrants emphasises not only the value of IT today, but also the way which it touches so many areas of life."
"This has been a real water-shed year for Storage Fusion,” commented Graham Wood, managing director for Storage Fusion. “Since the launch of our SRA service we have established a substantial and growing list of annuity customers and developed a strong network of channel and OEM partners. We are going from strength to strength, and to be chosen as a finalist for such a prestigious award validates the integrity of our technology and the compelling ROI that we offer to our customers. This recognition is an independent testament to the hard work and innovation of the entire Storage Fusion team and I am grateful to each and every member of our team for making this possible."
