security of data
Security is always a major business concern that must be carefully considered before using any SaaS or externally hosted application. At Storage Fusion we are conscious that our Storage Resource Analysis platform stores detailed information about your storage infrastructure. Our engineers have addressed security by developing a middleware layer to separate the front-end presentation and backend analytical data layers. This architecture ensures that your data is never exposed to unauthorized users and remains safe in transit between the different layers.
For on premise deployments data will never actually flow through our data centre. All data is stored behind the corporate firewall on a customer server where SRA is deployed. Only 'tracked' or 'status' data is sent to the data center when the server initiates a configuration update request from the data center to the local on premise server.

Our SaaS architecture utilises industry standard multi-tenanted architecture, in which all customers share a single, common infrastructure and code base that is centrally maintained. This ensures that every authenticated user can only access their data.

SRA’s agentless architecture means that there aren’t any agents or probes to install. Instead SRA utilises the vendor device management software which is already installed and used to manage the storage.
